Reverend Ian Wren wrote the following: I have always lived in the North East, growing up in Spennymoor then on marrying Maureen moved to Hetton le Hole where I now live with Maureen and son Stephen. I was a Minister for many years in the Independent Methodist Connexion before being called to be the Pastor here at Lakeside Baptist Church in January 2004. I count it as a great privilege to serve the fellowship here. Part of that privilege is to look into Gods Word as we seek to know Gods will for our lives, both as individuals and as a fellowship. My interests outside of the fellowship include lawn green bowling, which I have just discovered in the last few years and find it a great way to relax and meet new people. However the bias of the bowls is a constant reminder (if I needed one) that there is a bias to sin in every person and that each and every person needs to experience the forgiveness of Jesus. This is something which the fellowship and I want to share with our families, friends and neighbours.
